Loseley House Weddings
About Loseley House
Set in 1400 acres of Surrey’s most gorgeous rolling countryside, Loseley Park is an Elizabethan Manor House that can be exclusive for your wedding day. Privately owned and with over 500 years of history, Loosely House is an idyllic setting for a wedding reception and party.
The mile-long driveway winds its way through the grounds, leading you to the front of the manor house and 17th Century Tithe Barn. When you book at Losely House you have exclusive use of all its event spaces. The Great Hall inside the main building is licensed for ceremonies, as is the Tithe Barn and excitingly the Walled Garden will soon be able to be used for outdoor ceremonies. The Drawing Room and cultivated Walled Garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll are the perfect places for wedding reception drinks and photos.
On site there is also a bridal sweet so you can dress in comfort and style without the fear that your partner might see you, and when the day comes to an end, there is The Bothy, the onsite accommodation for the bride and groom to use.
Your Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Loseley House
You have the choice of either the Great Hall in the manor house, the Walled Garden, or the Tithe Barn for your ceremony. Each has its own feel and character and can be decorated to suit your wedding.
All 3 locations are ideal settings for live music. Our Acoustic Duo and Trio work brilliant in all of the spaces, adding a lovely musical soundtrack to your day. Better still is our new Romaing Band The Strolling Tones, which can move with you and your guests both inside and out, acting as extra ushers, mixing and mingling with your guests. This really sets the tone for your day, and is a brilliant ice breaker, making the day relaxed and fun.
Depending on the space you are using, Loseley House can seat upwards of 140 guests, and standing can be as many as 400 in the Tithe Barn with adjoining marquees.
Partying at Loseley House
Loseley House is brilliant for an evening party. The Tithe Barn in the grounds of the estate is a wonderful setting for evening dancing, partying and singing your heart out. The backdrop looks gorgeous and elegant with wooden beams and flooring adding to the vintage and rustic feel, and the bar set up right next to the dance floor means your guests can easily go from one to the other keeping the flow and atmosphere alive.
Making the most of your live entertainment at Loseley House
A few things to consider when booking a live band for your wedding at Losely House.
Ask them to arrive and set up before you go to the Tithe Barn for your evening dinner. The access to the tithe barn is easy, but if like AKA, your band have flight cases of equipment, it is easier to load in via the main doors. This will be in view of guests if later in the day.
You can apply for a late license at Loseley House. These are at the discretion of the venue and council, but if you want to go a little later, it is worth the ask.
